Yorkshire Life Chef of the Year 2019 – Josh Overington

Huge congratulations to our head chef/patron Josh Overington, who has been named this year’s Chef of the Year!

The highly coveted award was presented at the Yorkshire Life’s Food and Drink Awards Ceremony at the Principle Hotel in York. Josh, a born and bred Yorkshire man, first trained and lived in France before opening his restaurant in York aged just 26 years old. Multiple glowing national reviews soon followed, as did becoming a regional finalist for the Great British Menu and achieving Top 100 rankings for the restaurant in both Harden’s Guides and the National Restaurant Awards.

Josh is humbled and very honored to receive this award. It was a special moment to be invited and presented with the award.

On behalf of the teams at Le Cochon Aveugle and Cave du Cochon, we are so proud of you, Chef! This is richly deserved and we are thrilled that your achievements have been recognised.
